Ultra-low impact designs, materials, and building methods were used to create the structures of Peacewhisper in order to blend naturally with the environment. Slump block is the primary wall material and fits beautifully with the surrounding colors.
Peacewhisper is in a near-wilderness location, thus all traditional utilities are unavailable. The primary source of power is solar with a propane generator for backup. Propane is also used for cooking. From a well only a few miles away, water is hauled to a 2,000 gallon fresh water underground concrete cistern.
